About Mimi

Mimi designs homes that are calm, practical and personal. She starts with how you live, then builds every room around light, storage and the materials you will touch every day.

Mimi has designed homes in New York since 2012. She started in a Manhattan architecture office drawing kitchens and closets, and learned early that a beautiful room fails if the drawers are in the wrong place.

Today she runs a small studio that takes on a limited number of projects each year, so every client works with her directly, from the first walk-through to the day the last lamp is plugged in.

Her work is quiet rather than loud: natural materials, soft contrast and furniture that is meant to be used. Clients often say the finished home feels like it was always theirs.

How Mimi designs

  • Designed around daily life

Before choosing a single finish, Mimi maps how you move through your home: where keys land, where the kids do homework, where the morning light falls.

  • Materials you can live with

Oak, stone, linen and plaster that age well and forgive a busy household, chosen with you in person, not from a screen.

  • One clear plan, one point of contact

You get drawings, a material board and a budget you can follow. During the work, Mimi is the person you call.
