How we work together

Five clear steps, with a fixed design fee agreed before any work begins.

The full process
  1. Step 1: First meeting

We meet at your home or on a video call. You show Mimi the space and tell her what is not working. She tells you honestly whether she is the right fit, and what a realistic budget looks like.

  2. Step 2: Concept and mood board

Mimi measures the space and presents a concept: layout options, a material palette and a mood board you can hold in your hands.

  3. Step 3: Detailed design

The chosen concept becomes a full set of drawings: electrical and lighting plans, millwork, kitchen and bath details, and a complete schedule of finishes and furniture.

  4. Step 4: Renovation and site visits

Mimi helps you choose a contractor, then visits the site to check the work against the drawings and solve problems before they become expensive.

  5. Step 5: Installation and handover

Furniture, lighting, art and accessories are delivered and installed in one go. You walk in to a finished home, with care instructions for every material.

What clients say

All testimonials
Living room with an oak slat wall, charcoal leather sofa and floor-to-ceiling windows over Queens

We had lived in the apartment for six years and hated the kitchen for all six. Mimi moved one wall and the whole place finally makes sense. Our friends ask who our architect was.

Rachel and Daniel K.Three-bedroom penthouse, Long Island City
Living room with gray plaster walls, a linen sectional and tall windows onto the street

She listened more than she talked in the first meeting, which is rare. Every decision came with a reason, and the budget she gave us at the start was the budget we ended with.
